Long
Range Outlook for Normal Butane in North America
We prepared long term forecasts for normal butane availability
in North America with a focus on the Gulf Coast market. The scope
of this study included detailed analysis of supply/demand trends
in the U.S. and Canada and long term forecasts for international
butane supply/demand trends with special emphasis on butane availability
in the Atlantic Basin markets. Our study included sensitivity
case analyses for key elements of the supply/demand forecasts.
We also provided recommendations to senior management team regarding
capital investment budgeting and planning efforts.
Analysis
of Propane Wholesale Marketing Infrastructure
We
conducted this study in support of the client's strategic planning
efforts and our primary objective was to help senior management
identify opportunities for investment in propane infrastructure
projects. We provided in depth and detailed analysis of demand
trends in retail end use markets for a dozen regional propane
markets in the U.S. Additionally, we provided detailed evaluation
of the propane wholesale marketing infrastructure and sources
of supply for each region. Finally, we developed recommendations
for the client's strategic planning efforts and capital budget.
Long
Term Outlook for Petrochemical Feedstock Supplies in Louisiana
The
client retained us to evaluate the long-term outlook for the availability
of petrochemical feedstock supplies in Louisiana. Our analysis
included a detailed review of trends in natural gas production
and quality, midstream industry operations, and consumption of
petrochemical feedstocks by other facilities in Louisiana.

Analysis of Petrochemical Feedstock Supplies in Louisiana
We
developed a detailed analysis of the ownership and control of
a strategic petrochemical feedstock for a major petrochemical
company. This study focused on the Louisiana petrochemical feedstock
market and was in support of the client's strategic review of
its long-term competitive position.

Natural Gas & NGL Markets:
Strategic Implications for NGL Industry Infrastructure
A major natural gas and NGL producer retained PWI to develop detailed
long term supply/demand forecasts for natural gas, ethane, propane,
normal butane, isobutane and natural gasoline in Louisiana. Natural
gas and NGL production forecasts were developed for the primary
local markets within Louisiana. The study then translated these
forecasts into evaluations of industry requirements for additional
gas plant, fractionation, and NGL distribution system capacity.
The study provided the client with detailed evaluations of all
major gas plants in Louisiana. Finally, the study provided the
client with strategic recommendations regarding existing assets,
requirements for additional gas plant fractionation, storage and
pipeline capacity, and recommendations for an NGL marketing strategy
and organizational structure.
