Propane
Markets In Northern California
In this study, we developed supply/demand balances for
northern California on both annual and seasonal bases. Supply/demand
analyses identified seasonal supply shortfalls and surpluses. Supply/demand
analyses provided support for analysis of propane pricing trends
in northern California. Refineries in California are the primary
source of local propane production - especially in northern California.
Refinery propane supplies often contain variable amounts of propylene.
Stricter regulations on propane quality will have an impact on refinery
propane production and will potentially require off spec propane
supplies to be shipped to the Gulf Coast for processing in propane/propylene
splitters. Hence we also evaluated propylene netbacks and values
for the northern California market.
Long
Term Outlook for Tennessee Propane Markets
We developed detailed analyses for propane end use demand in five
states in the central Mid continent area. Our demand forecasts
focused especially on trends in propane demand in Tennessee and
Kentucky. We also developed estimates of the delivered costs of
propane from various sources of supply.
Mont
Belvieu NGL Storage Contract Survey
In this benchmarking study, we conducted a survey intended to
determine the range of terms and conditions for NGL storage contracts
in Mont Belvieu. Specific contract terms included in the survey
were reservation costs, throughput fees, and storage charges.
Respondents to the survey included NGL producers, NGL trading
companies and ethylene producers.
Quality
Trends in Mont Belvieu Natural Gasoline Markets
We conducted a survey of natural gasoline consumers in the Mont
Belvieu natural gasoline service area. The intent of the survey
was to identify and define variations in natural gasoline quality
parameters for refiners and ethylene producers. In particular,
our survey focused on variations in sensitivity to natural gasoline's
sulfur content and to the specific species of sulfur in natural
gasoline.
Mont
Belvieu Purity Ethane Supply/Demand Trends
PWI prepared detailed forecasts for production and consumption
of purity ethane in the Mont Belvieu area. The study included
an evaluation of existing base load purity ethane consumers, swing
purity ethane consumers and discretionary purity ethane consumers.
The study provided the client with a detailed analysis of the
outlook for purity ethane production from traditional fractionation
suppliers and emerging new supply sources.
Long-term
Outlook for Mont Belvieu NGL Fractionation Capacity
PWI prepared a detailed analysis and forecast of the outlook for
NGL raw mix shipments into Mont Belvieu from traditional and emerging
supply sources. The study also provided the client with a detailed
assessment of changes in the composition of raw mix shipments
to Mont Belvieu fractionation plants.
