HIGHLIGHTS

Overview of LPG Markets in Atlantic Canada
We provided an analysis of supply/demand trends for propane and butanes in Atlantic Canada with particular emphasis on marketing opportunities in Canadian petrochemical feedstock markets.

Long term Outlook for International Natural Gas Supply and LPG Production
PWI prepared long term price forecasts (2005 2020) for development of international natural gas resources via LNG production, conventional natural gas production for domestic pipeline distribution systems and gas production for long distance international export pipeline systems. The scope of this study also included the impact of natural gas production for Gas-to Liquids plants. We prepared forecasts for natural gas production and consumption on a country by country basis. Additionally, the study included an evaluation of the quality of each natural gas supply source to support the development of long-term LPG supply/demand forecasts. Based on the results of the natural gas production and quality forecasts, we developed production and demand forecasts for propane and butane on a country by country basis.

Ethylene/Polyethylene Complex in Atlantic Canada
PWI conducted an in depth evaluation of the economic and marketing feasibility of constructing an ethylene/polyethylene complex in Nova Scotia. Our assessment included analysis of local feedstock availability, evaluation of available polyethylene process technologies, and recommendations for a market entry strategy and market entry strategy and long-term polyethylene marketing and pricing.

Long Range Japanese Price Forecasts
PWI developed long term naphtha and propane price forecasts for markets in Japan. This project supported the client's international LPG marketing and business development activities for finding alternative markets for gas plant butane supplies.

LPG Export Terminal Development
The outlook for natural gas production in the Caspian basin prompted our client to investigate opportunities to develop a LPG export terminal in the area. We prepared a feasibility study of the proposed LPG export terminal. Additionally, PWI accompanied the client's senior management personnel on a site inspection tour of the proposed location for the export terminal facilities.

MTBE Plant in Russia
PWI conducted a screening study and feasibility evaluation for the development of an MTBE plant to be located within a Russian refinery. The scope of this study included an evaluation of the project's economics and analysis of the distribution system for marketing MTBE into export markets.
